Our Clippers History -
This classic coach was delivered to Continental Trailways in Dallas,Texas in August of 1948.
Her VIN# is 8760. She is a Flxible Clipper Model# 29B148, built by The Flxible Company in Loudonville, Ohio.
She has a 218" wheelbase with a overall length of 32' 11 1/2". The original seating capacity was for 29 passengers.
The baggage storage area was in the rear compartment with a total of 115 cubic feet. Baggage access is gained thru the rear exterior vented door. Interior luggage area of 60 cubic feet was above the seats in a overhead rack was also provided for smaller items.
The original engine was a Buick "Straight 8" with 320 c.i. with a torque of 278 ft. lbs @ 2200 rpm.Transmission was a Spicer Model 3541 bus type four speed.
This is just a little of her history and original specifications.
